From the Star on March 24 2008, Abdullah Badawi said the appointment of anyone but Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh as Terengganu Mentri Besar is unconstitutional. On 22nd March, the Sultan of Terengganu announced the appointment of Kijal assemblyman Ahmad Said instead of Idris Jusoh as the Mentri Besar of Trengganu. So Abdullah said the Sultan had gone against the constitution.
From Malaysiakini, Abdullah Badawi said that he has instructed Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Mansor to lodge a police report against DAP chairperson Karpal Singh over his allegedly seditious remarks against the Sultan of Perak over the transfer of the Perak Islamic Religious Affairs Department (Jaip) director.
"The statements that he (Karpal) has made gives the impression that the sultan does not know the law," he said. It is as good as saying that Kapal Singh gave the impression that the Sultan had gone against the law. If this lame duck prime minister says the Sultan of Trengganu has gone against the constituion, it is acceptable. If Kapal Singh says the Sultan of Perak has gone against the constitution, it is seditious.
You see they have never learnt the lesson. They are still as ARROGANT i.e. as before.
